Are the mentally ill being unfairly targeted by the FBI’s gun list?

Here's another log jam about Obama's gun ban proposals. It's easier said than done when it comes to crushing 2nd Amendment rights. The mentally ill have the same right to possess a firearm, unless they have been declared mentally ill, by a doctor, and it shows up in the background check.
ONLY problem, almost all of the shooters in the mass killings, got their weapons from a relative who didn't have them locked up, or they went out of state, with a fake ID, to purchase them. I don't remember how Dillion and Klebold got their weapons in the Colorado mass shooting. But, as young as they were, wherever they got them, should have turned on a light build in someone's head that this is suspicious activity. I can go on and on, but I won't except to say that most of the mass shootings weren't done by a mentally ill shooter. Some were, some weren't.


When President Obama recently outlined steps to reduce gun violence, mental-health advocates applauded his proposal to spend $500 million to aid access to care for the mentally ill. Advocates, however, are divided over whether proposals to ease the sharing of information with the FBI’s background-check system breach patient rights.
