Army blames strong economy for missing recruiting goal

That's really too bad for the Army.

Sorry as a forty year Army Veteran I blame senior leadership who should be held accountable

It’s more like folks are getting the message that it’s not as ‘sexy’ being in the military as it used to be. They’re tired of constant stories wheee they ‘suck’ and are ‘unfit for service’. Why would anyone enlist knowing what’s said about them day in and day out? If you have kids, raise your hand if you’ve told them ‘go to school. The military will still be there when you get done’ or ‘I did it so you wouldn’t have to’. Vet parents can be awesome recruiters for local and national colleges.
