I’ve seen many a hard landings by Naval Avaiators(the Navy has aviators the Air Force has pilots). But of course they did it using only 220 feet of run way.

I am completely with you, was aboard a C130 landing on a short runway in Germany. Didn't know I could hold my breath that long, lol.

I would not call the landing of a Navy pilot on a carrier, "Hard". I think it is more Like a good kiss hello to the ship showing how happy they are be back safely on board!
