The last place I worked was freight transportation. We used planes and trucks. From Canada all the way to Mexico. One time I was helping to load a belly for the Mexican flight when the side of the belly was damaged. Our procedure if damage is detected is to stop that flight, repair plane, get replacement plane to use instead. The pilot was having none of that bs. He wanted to go back home. He put duct tape over it and said it was good. Being just a loader I left the pilot and the mechanics to argue it out.

SP5 Christine Conley - Remember Lokerby bombing? Over Scotland? I was supposed to be on that plane but got that cancelled because I mouth offed to someone. I changed the ticket to two months later. We flew over that and the pilot actually mentioned you could look out and see the devastation. I looked, you could. Dumbest thing to ever do in a plane. And that was the moment I realized that the only thing keeping that plane in the air was my total and unrelenting fear. I have had problems since getting on a plane.

SP5 Christine Conley - I'll take your word. My last trip on a plane was 25 years ago. I'm hoping to never have a reason that flying is a necessity.

SP5 Christine Conley - That is very nice to know. But honestly my fear has been embedded in me I'm pretty sure that's not going to help me on a plane

Returning from B-52D late night mission in Vietnam. As sun came up EWO yelled that he could see daylight coming in by his feet. Turned out that there had been some duct tape covering a hole in the fuselage.
