Berkeley once stood for free speech; now it caves: Megan McArdle

Canada has the same problem where conservative professors can't speak up in a liberal University even though University is supposed to have left right and center but it seems like some of the people who didn't go to Vietnam become tenured University professors after coming back from Canada.

Just my opinion maybe not so but it is sad that this is happening in the United States and Canada. a Canadian legislator recently suggested that universities that don't allow Free Speech should not get government money. Some of you said it all depends which speech they are allowing what I'm saying all speech. Universities that not allowed ROTC because of don't ask don't tell well maybe we can deny funding the universities that don't allow freedom of speech.
