Bill Filed To Rectify “Intent To Go Armed” Provision In Tennessee 2A Laws

I'm glad to see it. Although I've never seen the law enforced, it's always been there in the back of my mind. I have a TN carry permit, for reasons of reciprocity. Of course I have the intent to go armed. I don't go with the "intent to shoot someone" though. If I have to, for purposes of self defense, I will. I just go, hoping the situation never occurs. The small businesses I frequent know I'm armed, it's a really small town, even the ones that have the no guns sign posted at the door. I'm just the quiet old man that doesn't drink and sits in a place away from people. To those business owners I am an additional safety level.
