I stopped at a brewery in MO a few years back and they had a "black walnut beer." It was an incredibly delicious brew and very refreshing. I only bought two 6-packs and didn't ingest any until I got home to PA. Had I relized how delicious it was, I'd have bought a few cases though I'm not the typical beer drinker, I just like to try craft beers now and again. Probably a good thing it's not local to me, and PA or MO won't allow shipping it here. Otherwise, I'd probably pack on too much weight! LOL

When you boil the black walnut husks, strain it and put it on a toe, it is good for getting rid of toenail fungus.

Didn't know the interesting history of a native tree!
My aunt and uncle had a Black Walnut tree in the yard. Couldn't plant flowers near it - they wouldn't grow. And cracking the shells was a real chore!
