Sounds Pretty Tacky, I took care of my Mother while she slowly wasted away from it and her Brother just passed from it. Doesn't look good for me either. I realize that he was already having symptoms by his 2nd term and it does make some unique statements about the status of American Politics but not something to Mock the Individual For.

There was a book that came out in the 60's or 70's called "Victims of Group Think". It speaks of the dangers of having no dissenting opinion.

I do not know for a fact, but I guess that the Republican party is not particularly popular with the decision makers in the entertainment industry. Perhaps, there was no one in the room who said "Really, we're going to make fun of a man with Alzheimer's? ". Because everyone was focused on "taking down a man who is beloved by most Republican's".
