it seems that this is advertising vaporware, and ignores the weather. Perhaps they can do it but IRST has been at4mpted since the 70s and has very clear limitations, especial at altitudes where there is wartier vapor in the air or rain.

LTC (Join to see) always used to give this thought about the heat signature. The only issue I see is it has to be able to distinguish the heat signature somehow? Not versed in the technology enough, but if your in a dog fight how does it differentiate between a wingman and the boogeyman?

Not Sure if the Issue has been resolved by I heard at One Time "Stealth" was Ineffective against Old Lower Power, Lower Freq Radar.

In that case they found the general area that the f-177 was in , filled the sky with missiles, and got lucky not something that an aircraft can do.
