Similar things are happening in Seattle. After the mayor and governor were too wimpy to have armed National Guard in Washington, The Capitol Hill Occupation zone was an embarrassment and a vortex of crime and lawlessness. 100 officers from Seattle PD have already quit or retired. Some are transferring to King County like a buddy of mine. Others are going to other cities like Everett. Black lives matter demanded 400 officers be let go but the city is compromising with the 100 officers and that makes the city dangerous. Watch trucking companies avoid that city. The chief of police just resigned and they are cutting the top a of the surviving management team and that means they are probably gonna go work somewhere else. Seattle had the most diverse police force done purposely by a African American female police chief who was harassed by black lives matter 3 weeks ago.

Most police officers are good officer, it's the bad apples that causing the problems. If the good ones would speak up and weed out the bad apples I think officers would receive greater respect from most of the citizens. Yes, there are plenty of bad citizens also, and the community should quit being afraid and turn them in. There is a lot of blame to go around on both sides.

SPC Michael Duricko, Ph.D - The problem in Chicago is the bad cops that we just can't get rid of, plus all the money is being spent downtown and north of the Chicago river. Whenever is spent south of the river that is an indication that whites are moving back into that area.
