China reveals its new Russian jets flying over secret military bases in the Pacific

My take: If China acquires "good stuff" from other nation's arsenals, it's probably only to be a temporary "stop gap" until they can successfully reverse engineer the stuff into their own production. They can then sell/give the "stop gap" equipment no longer used to other nations, such as NK.

I am confused now, I thought they were going to domestic produced fighters. It's kind of sad in a way that such a large country with so many engineers and scientists still can't make anything more technically advanced than what they can buy on the market. What that means of course is they can't survive a prolonged war without big problems.
