Licensed! Hello everyone. Blessing to you all. My license to practice Acupuncture arrived from the Virginia Board of Medicine. This was almost a six year journey for me. Thank you to everyone that has supported me and my family! You are all wonderful and with a grateful heart, I bless you all.
Fundraising wise, donations are still steadily coming in, so we are just $59 away from reaching our two week goal of $5500, and that's not so far away from reaching the halfway point in our total Campaign! Wow. We are so grateful for all your support both seen and unseen. :)
In other news, I joined National Guild of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NGAOM). I always wanted to join a guild. It's like being in the Screen Actors Guild in Hollywood. Fancy. The NGAOM is affiliated with the AFL-CIO, which is a really big consortium of unions in the U.S. So this would make my family a 3rd generation union family (I come from a family of Electricians -- Shout out to IBEW!!!). Also the NGAOM offers "steeply discounted" malpractice insurance for my practice, plus a letter of introduction and endorsement of acupuncture from the AFL-CIO president to take to all the local union halls in Richmond, so that's a plus.
So as it is we plan to make the big move to Virginia in Mid April, which is coming up close. Once there we will look for clinic spaces in earnest, and do all the fun and technical local businesses licensing and tax stuff. I can't wait!!!
blessing to you all,
Sean
