"So, to say that Soleimani, himself personally, was an imminent threat is, as I said before, laughable." - this guy is a d bag. You know how many HUMWV's I've seen opened up like a sardine can from his Quds-supplied EFP's? Yeah - he didn't "personally" hand them over - but he directed it. Idiot.

Well as it stated in the article it was his responsibility to double check the intell that Colin Powell got on Iraq.........and look what happened. I disagree with him that one week was not enough time. Holy Crap all he had to do was call a few people that disagreed with the intel and ask them what they had.

Also the article is heavily edited and in snips and parts. Who knows what he said in what context. I would never take an article like this and say "ah-ha" and even in the footnotes it says it was rushed out and hastily put together. However look in the thread at people taking the article to be serious reporting.....even with the disclaimer it was rushed out.

SPC Erich Guenther - We had the EFP's in-hand (in wrapping). We had the guys who brought them into Iraq, in-hand. It was no secret that these weapons were being introduced to the battlefield and who was doing it. Col Wilkerson, with due respect, is an idiot. More concerned about ink stains than blood stains.

CPT Paul Whitmer - I both read and heard about it and it is also documented in several books on the second Iraq War. Double standard here on the left wing side. Iranians are viewed as the good government in the Middle East by the left because it's all our fault dating back to the CIA Coup.....if we would have just given the Socialist Mossedegh a chance....blah, blah, blah. More history out of proper context and better not to go down that road........very frustrating with those wrapped around the idealogy. Revolutionary Guards were behind the Marine Barracks Bombing of 1983, they were behind prolonging the Embassy Takeover earlier than that where Marines were they were subject to Russian Roulette by their captors in mock executions. None of that matters now though all about personal politics. It is interesting because nobody complained from the left when the Lybian leader was betrayed by the Obama administration and shot dead after he cooperated with us extensively. They just shrugged their shoulders at the time and said he was a terrorist and deserved it. Ask yourself why the so called Iranian "General" has to be treated differently from the libyan leader? Makes no sense to me, two peas in the same pod.

SFC William Farrell - It's a Bit Challenging, I Understand. At Least You're Very Honest About It. I Probably Wouldn't be If I Wasn't Knee Deep in Mideast History Just by Dumb Luck. I Always Loved History in School. Little did I Know Grade School History was Just a Prep for What I Would Learn and What I Would Do as a Navy Spook.
