Continental Navy - Wikipedia

Much like the Continental Marines, the Continental Navy was established in 1775 and consisted of 65 vessels. By the end of the Revolutionary War only 11 were left. In 1783 the Continental Navy was disbanded and the vessels auctioned off, by 1785 the last vessel was sold to a private citizen.
