This is exactly where this is going. There will be people (both sexes) who say "I am transgender" just to get in the others locker rooms and bathrooms. When they get confronted all they have to say is that they are transgender and that will be a get out of jail free card. How do we prevent that????Will there be a requirement for medical proof where we place on licenses or id's that state Male, Female, or transgender so that people don't just use that excuse to invade to others sexes space because they want to look or take it another step? I will admit I would have a huge problem if that happened to my daughter. I really shutter to think how I would react. Definitely would not have positive outcome I am sure.

Exactly...this is how I feel about it and not afraid to say so... Im afraid if a man or transgender used it with my 13 year old daughter he would be getting his free sex changes and lunch at the same time. I'd cut them off and feed them to him.

Not a father, but I voiced the same concerns yesterday on FB on this. I have no ill will on those who are genuinely transgender. It's their choice. But I DO have concerns when you get those who will use the rules as a joke or a means to harm either physically or mentally those of the opposite sex. Someone WILL go into the girls locker room or bathroom (being the know they cannot be denied), and take pictures or video. That fact scares me. Some kid will be the one to test the boundaries and those affected won't have any recourse. Based off that, I think until you've completed the sex change, and fully embrace the new you, you should use the bathroom of your born sex. If I sound bigoted, I'm FAR from it, but people are people, and there is ALWAYS going to be that ONE who will take something to the ninth degree, and ruin it for everyone. In this case, ruining it goes beyond a simple corrective measure, or even a bid in jail. But could lead to suicides, rapes, and other horrific things that do not need to happen at all, let alone when they think the doors been left open.

I agree with you 100% and if some guy follows my daughter out of a rest room I don't care what sex he thinks he is. there is going to be some serious trouble. My daughters are born with the right to privacy and protection and if the courts fail to do that I will.

Not true. What we believe is the ruling makes it easier for people to scam the system and the ruling does not care about the ones that could get hurt. Is this worth the risks to our kids? I just happen to not think so. Lindsey, your are only thinking of the good people and not thinking about the damaged that could be caused by just a few scamming the system. There is no test to verify someone isn't scamming the system before they use the girls locker room.

CW2 Lindsey Muller - No ma'am it's not the penis that gets you into trouble all the time. It's the thought that leads you into it. It's that thought that concerns me. There's solutions for the penis. Not very nice, but steel toed boots are a hell of a thing. I really am scared for both sexes on this. Cameras on phones now. Not like when I was young and you got "happy" when you caught a glimpse of some girls panties. Or you hear of the prank with a mirror on the shoes. Cameras are a real issue, and kids are going to be kids....

SSG. I do believe there is a college that has stopped it already. Guys were taking pictures over the shower wall at girls.

Uuuhhh..would a guy spend any money on women's clothes, accessories, makeup simply to sneak into a public facility in order to 'trick' a woman in there into sex? Seriously sit and think about that one. ....seriously think about that. Because, to date I have never hear or read about that happening. Men who are going to assault women are not going to spend time or money to dress up for an assault nor commit an assault in a PUBLIC PLACE. Hell, most public facilities in a mall don't even have a door and the men just walk right in to commit their crimes. Also women don't go into public bathrooms to have sex or wait around until someone shows up to have sex with. Your thinking of congressmen there buddy. If you were to use your computer and look up crimes that occur in public bathrooms where a Transgender person is involved, you'd find out that the Transgender person is the one being assaulted, stripped, sent to the hospital or even the morgue. The #1 sexual predator is still heterosexual, 'cisgender' men who have power (I take a nice Social Psychology class and its thick book lists male politicians, priests and CEO's as the worst, because its true). So, go do some research. Also, thinking someone will pretend to be Transgender to 'get around the law'? Assault is assault and its a crime. You could be dressed up as a [any stupid thing] and claim that you did it for 'reasons', you'd still be arrested, jailed, tried and go to prison. Non-Discrimination Ordinances and Laws do not excuse anyone or anything from committing a crime. It just reiterates the rights of those whose rights are typically ignored, clarifies the why's and how's and points out penalties that are applicable.

OK now ask yourself would a 17 year old guy do that in order to get access to the girls locker room? If you answer yourself NO. then you don't know 17 year old guys well.
