D.C. Equality March Makes Pride Political

Why are some folks vehemently against equality and folks being happy with the person they love? It doesn't make sense to me.

Social and financial equality is not a founding principle of this country. We are all created equal, but after birth we are only equal in the court system. Rest of one's life is of one's choosing.

"They said part of the reason they came out was in remembrance of their friend and to make sure nothing like that happens again. That starts, they say, with resisting the Trump administration."

So let's resist the guy who is actually trying to protect us? Makes sense to me.
