I have been in the Saar of Germany and I have been inside a restored part of the westwall/Siegfried Line in 2009.

None of the veterans that I spoke with back in 1994 would ever forget that place.

I went to the annual NUTS Weekend in Bastogne back in 2003. Sobering experience but the locals were fantastic.

Stopped in Bastogne in 1997 and met an American expat who was living there. He said he had been in the engineer battalion of the 101st during the battle. Had some interesting stories.
