This is an awesome piece! Eckman, is it? Malcolm Gladwell talks about his Eckman's facial expression work in his book "Blink". People with PTSD from childhood trauma are very good at discerning the nuances in facial expressions. They learn young how to anticipate trouble in others (in hopes of defending themselves). Police are generally great at it, too. Same reason.
