Hey Kerry, I have seen this before (as have many of the followers of you and the Good Captains posts)- and our minds are just not built to understand the really big, or the really small. The kinds of minds that had to struggle to overcome that handicap have always stood in awe of the Universe. And as it trickles down, some of us are getting to see part of the picture too.
DNA won a Nobel Prize for its discovery...now a Fourth Grader can give a fairly good account of it. So knowledge and awe are being passed on to more and more folks...and some folks resist learning. How do you grasp something like a Trillion (let along a Googleplex) - so we have to use metaphors, analogies, words, and the clearest descriptions are all Mathematical at a level most of us will never reach. So we stand in awe.

That is why I prefaced my post regarding the Deep Field: The Impossible Magnitude of our Universe... Some will grasp the abstract, others will not and that is okay... If everyone learns something from it, then all is good... It is one of those simple choices we make, watch or not watch, read or not read, etc. but passing the information around to everyone provides the opportunity... I gravitate to anything related to space and our universe and suck it in so-to-speak... I can't seem to get enough! LOL! My wife gets PO'd sometimes because I get so wrapped up in it... Thank you for your great comments as always, Kevin...

Great share Kerry. It is incredible the vastness of the universe. Only God could have designed and made what is the Universe.
