Boy are the Russians dumb. The NRA contributed about $1 million in 2016. Two Teachers associations contributed $23 million.

I'm sure you can see the difference in contributions by American associations and foreign ones, however, can't you?

Susan Foster - Yes I can and the NRA actually gives very little to politicians and the NRA’s clout is solely dependant on the good will of the members. This is another waste of tax dollars. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/02/24/us/politics/nra-gun-control-florida.html There have been politicians endorsed and supported by the NRA who have lost because they are not conservative enough.

LTC David Brown - Thank you for the article. Even though they spend little to politicians individually, as the article says, it's only a small amount of their political spending. $20M during an election cycle on ads, etc., to persuade voters to reject Hillary Clinton and an additional $11 million to support Donald J. Trump (not marked down as a direct contribution to DT), doesn't seem paltry to me. Also interesting since her predecessor had no influence on gun control, and did not even attempt it when he had the House majority. I'd like to see them not play with the Russians, since they aren't a gun seller, and I'd like to see all political spending be capped, but that's just my own personal view. I'm not anti-guns, but I do know their rhetoric in mailers have gone over the top IMO.
