Well good. The flu virus that is going around is immune to the FluMist......stick with the shot since it will pretty much get your immune system going. Yeah, you have some side-effects (achyness, fatigue, low-grade fever) but that passes within 24 hours.

PO1 (Join to see), At our VA in Houston, the serum they use to use caused all of that. They have changed to another, more potent serum that doesn't have any side effects. It must work good.ive never gotten the flu. Knock on wood, or if you don't have any wood,my head can be used...

I had the FluMist one time and I was miserable afterwards. It burned and my nose ran like a faucet for the rest of the day. I'll take the shot any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

It's pretty like a nasal spray you would use is you had a cold or sinus problems. The stick stick an applicator up your nose and spray that crap. I probably went through an entire box of Kleenex the day I had it. I actually had my annual flu shot this morning. Other than some initial discomfort immediately after the shot I pretty forgot I even had it.
