Stupid is as stupid does. So legal immigrants supporting Illegal Aliens played hooky for the day and got fired. How about personal responsibility? Why in the hell would you support people who are 100% criminals? The day they crossed the border illegally they broke the law, that makes them criminals. Nope, they don't get their jobs back, they need to apply for the open positions or find employment elsewhere. Semper Fi.

Nope... They made the decision to skip work. Now they must pay the price. There is no way, as an employer, I would give them their jobs back.

If the protesters were illegal aliens, then ICE should track down every employer and take appropriate action to capture and deport the illegals and impose penalties on the employer who hired them.
For immigrants and Citizens, taking an unauthorized day off is just cause for firing an employee. If the employees wanted to take a day off to do whatever, it would have been okay if they had been authorized a vacation day. Of course, some could have called in sick.
Should they get their job back: no, not automatically. Any employee wanting their job back should be required to apply through normal processes to fill a job opening. If hired they should come aboard as new employees with no extra benefits (vacation days, sick days accumulated) or seniority.
Companies should retrain their employees on proper procedures for requesting vacation days and record the employee's understanding of the rules to avoid future law suits.
