SMSgt Thor Merich - Did you notice that they're not wearing Drill Sergeant Identification Badges? Must be before graduation I guess.

SFC (Join to see) - I didn't notice that. Good eye. I saw a couple of brand new E-5 drill sergeants, but never anyone below the rank of E-5. However, I do remember being told that squared away Corporals (not Sp4's) could attnd drill sergeant school, but I never actually saw on of those either.
I went to MP school at Ft McClellan which was OSUT at the time. I don't know how other MOS's are (were) taught, but I had drill sergeants yelling at me from the beginning of Basic to the end of AIT. I remember at the beginning we had a sergeant (E-5) that had not gone to drill sgt school who had to wear a cap like the rest of us, He then disappeared for a few weeks and came back with the "round brown hat" before we graduated.

SMSgt Thor Merich - Not sure when you went through it, I was there in 94 D787 and we had a female SGT(P) there who were a regular cover. She made Staff and went to Drill School. She was a beast before she left, so I can imagine the hell she brought back with her to whatever company she went to.

They tested AFTER they were in BCT to determine their MOS. That's interesting. Imagine how big those PFC's heads were. Good video. Makes me wonder how I'd be right now had I taken the chance to go to DS school a few years ago.
