Some of you Baby Boomers remember the Devo song Whip It in 1970, but do you remember this song called freedom of choice?
Yes, it is a little weird. We used to have freedom of choice. To get the vaccine or not get the vaccine. With politicians knowing better, we can't use our freedom of choice anymore! Just ask Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot for President Biden.
A friend of my mom works for the San Gorgonio Hospital in Banning, California. 40% of the medical staff still do not want to get the covid-19 vaccine. 20% of those have already been sick with covid-19. Luckily, they are not being terminated but have to have the coronavirus test every 3 days.
The State of Florida gives everybody freedom of choice. You would think they would be the worst state with the most coronavirus cases. Guess what? They are number 10 out of the 50 states!
Also, Democratic states that have vaccine mandates generally have 7% unemployment while those states that give a choice, have about 5% unemployment. Vaccine mandates or employment? Freedom of choice or absolute power? It's like he's Democrats are using the Hitler enabling act to force people to do things but then they don't want to get up the power just like Hitler didn't want to give up the power. You worried about President Trump overreaching Authority? Look at many of the Democrats now!

What I find idiotic with the mandates and showing vax cards.
The true efficacy of any of the three vaccines is still yet to be determined. I went to a wedding where all 100 guest had to show proof of being vaccinated. End result 30+ people got COVID. Real world example of 70% effective.
In looking at information on the CDC the range is between 65% to 95%. That's just on the efficacy of the vaccines.
Now add in those that have natural immunity. In a recent study individuals vaccinated are 13 time more likely to have a break through case of the delta variant than those with natural immunity.
So if we are following the science is 'natural immunity' a valid exception to any vaccine mandates?
As it is now it does not look like vaccine mandates follow science - so why the mandate?
