Aww, man, I was waiting for him to drop the bomb that he was a police officer, their call had been traced, and federal agents would be arriving soon.

I have had a few calls like this. I love messing with these guys. My wife really likes screwing with them and will keep them on the phone for 30 minutes or more before they throw in the towel and hang up.
However, what is sad is that sometimes this scam works and good folks get screwed. Its difficult to track down the crooks because many times they are overseas.
