I have it on now but after seeing the comments I'm not sure I should watch. I know the privacy guys will not like it but feel there are some things that our agencies should be able to do, if it keeps us safe. There are some things the public just doesn't need to know about. I'd imagine there are things in that category, or at least hope so. The bad actors don't play by the rules so it's a small price to pay - sacrifice some privacy in the interest of survival. If people aren't breaking the law they have nothing to worry about. Thanks for sharing, it's some interesting stuff.

Ok, never heard that one but I like it. I know a former USMC Captain that was involved in some of the Civil Action Program (CAP) stuff in Viet Nam. I think they used it as a sort of cover of sorts. Besides the WHAM side of it and raising the standard of living they were able to gain intel and increase security for the AOR. It met opposition and they never got as fully into it as you SF guys but it had its merits. By 1969, despite losses during the 1968 Tet Offensive, the program had expanded to 102 platoons comprising 19 companies and 4 groups. Nowhere near the level of SF in terms of size and success but it still worked. Thanks and best wishes.
