Beautiful scenery, but glad I live in Florida where the sun is shining and I don't have to dress like an Eskimo to go outside.

Yep. This place isn't meant for everyone. Personally, I prefer cold over heat: My Grandpa told me once that "You can always dress to keep warm, but you cannot dress to keep cool." And, Humidity and me do not get along. But it's my pleasure to share with you and anyone else wants to see what other parts of the country look like. Thanks for your service, Steve.

SFC Richard Williamson Yours too Brother! You don't dress to stay cool, you undress to stay cool, because the less you are wearing, the less AC you will need. I paid my dues to cold weather before I moved to Florida in 2000. The clincher for moving to Florida was strolling on Boynton beach in shorts and T-shirts Christmas week of '99. It was 10 degrees in OKC when we left, and 10 degrees when we got back to OKC.

Heat stroke ruined it for me when I lived in California. In 2003, I learned real quick that that alcohol and 100+ degree heat don't mix. I don't drink now, but I still can't handle the heat. Thanks for listening, Steve.

SFC Richard Williamson I understand Brother! Not everyone is cut out for living in a semi-tropical climate, and from what I've heard, a person never completely "gets-over" heat stroke. I taught HAZWOPER after the Deepwater Horizon disaster, and a four-hour segment of that class was on heat injury prevention. BP took heat injury seriously.
