Good for raising this issue... MAJ (Join to see)! We are not God, so the killing of a baby under the guise of a medical abortion is wrong imho! A baby's life starts upon inception... If you had been aborted, you folks who complain about this issue would not even be here to complain...yet you are ready to end a fetus' life if it is not convenient...

I agree with you...conception is life. The pure science of it is factual yet people don't want to follow the science when it doesn't fit their narrative. A human life is a human life whether it is in someone else or it is outside the womb. The legislations against are mind boggling. I f I were to crawl up into bald eagles nest and crush the eggs I can get a life sentence because they are a protected species and the eggs are alive waiting to be hatched but a woman walks into an abortion clinic and kills a human with a heartbeat and walks out free to do it all over again. A doctor can go into a woman's womb, kill a baby and he is an abortion doc but if he kills that baby after birth or due to negligence at birth he can be tried for murder or negligent homicide. Does not pass the makes sense test to me. Either you follow science or you don't. This isn't a religious discussion, this is a science discussion.

I agree and you summed up the whole issue. There are too many instances of protecting unborn life to simply claim abortion is ok. Not to mention that if I go out and kick a pregnant woman in the stomach and her baby dies, I go to jail for murder. But if I'm an abortion doc, I get paid for it. It simply doesn't make sense.

Just one of the reasons I support the right to choose:
In 1956 a young girl got impregnated. The man who did this was her uncle, on her mother’s side of the family. He had been molesting her for 3 years at this time. She had tried to talk to her mother about this before, but was told she was imagining the whole thing.
When she realized something was wrong, she went to the school nurse. The nurse informed her she was pregnant. The nurse also informed the girl’s mother.
When the girl got home that day, her mother whipped her and called her terrible names, all the time insisting she, the girl, must have been the one that initiated the sex. The mother insisted her brother would never do such a thing. She then kicked the girl out of the house. She was not to return with a bastard child.

This young girl found a friend whose parent would allow her to stay for awhile. They were not informed of the girl’s condition. After a couple of weeks, the girl and her friends concocted a plan. Everyone knew an abortion could be had below the border, so this young girl and a couple of friends drove down to Tijuana. She got her abortion.

On the drive home, that very sad young lady bled to death in the back seat of the car.

She was 15 years old.
She was also my cousin and best friend.

That's a terrible story and I don't belittle the girl or what she went through at all. That baby, and the mother, ended up dying not for their sins, but for the sins of the uncle, the mother, and whoever else contributed to that. I have no doubt that the young girl felt "stuck". Everyone in her life who was supposed to look out for her failed her miserably. And in the end, not only did one innocent victim die, but two. But out of all the wrongs in that story, abortion is not the answer for any of them.

Please don't take that as judgment against your cousin. Like I said, I have no idea of how ostracized she felt by those who were supposed to love her the most. And I know her story isn't the only one like that. But what if instead of sending all our resources to abortion clinics we sent them to organizations who help women in those situation? Wouldn't that have been a better outcome?
