I will agree with my friend SGT Keith Bodine ,the multiple deployments done by current Service members has to be the most stressful of all, then add in most people back home could give a rats ass for your sacrifice really puts the icing on the cake,I don't know how they do it,they have my admiration and respect always.

SGT Philip Roncari, I don't know how they do it either, especially with a wife and family back home, or the same for the husband if his wife deploys . The wives/husbands should get a medal too every time their husband or wife is deployed

Stress wears you down over a period of time. The amount of deployments for some MOSs is not sustainable.

LTC Greg Henning, Sometimes I wonder about the all volunteer Military being a hell of a lot more stressful than back when I was in. At least when we were deployed, we stayed a year, then came home, or to our next post. Some had two or three tours in Vietnam, but usually one tour was it.

To be of actual value, this list needs to be more specific. "Enlisted Military" is a vague term at best. They should break it down by job for the list to be useful. Folks that have multiple deployments would have to be at the high end of the stress level on the list. But for some military folks, the most stressful time in the military was Basic. After that, it was a cake walk.

However, on the civilian side, most high stress jobs also come with high pay. Not so much in the military. The extra $250 a month for combat pay doesn't really compensate you for all the stress caused by being deployed.

SMSgt Thor Merich, I was paid $65 a month for combat pay, so I wouldn't gripe too much for $250 a month. You are correct about the article breaking the branches of service down to see which is more stressful.
