Ahhh, Brother. The Enterprise holds a special place in my heart. She helped save my life (and my ship) when the Long Beach lost rudder control alongside. The Big E dragged us significantly as she evaded, before we accomplished the emergency breakaway.

SSG Warren Swan - She was a Long Beach class Cruiser (she was the only one of her type). She was the first nuclear-powered surface combatant, and her house was originally intended for an aircraft carrier - the Ranger, I believe. ( PO1 William "Chip" Nagel ?) She was pretty powerful.

USS Long Beach (CGN-9) - Wikipedia
USS Long Beach (CLGN-160/CGN-160/CGN-9) was a nuclear-powered guided missile cruiser in the United States Navy and the world's first nuclear-powered surface combatant. She was the third Navy ship named after the city of Long Beach, California.

She was a cruiser and the sole member of her class. She came before AEGIS. Definitely an odd looking ship due to the superstructure, I always thought it looked like it would tip over when she came alongside.

I should correct myself, AEGIS was eventually around during Long Beach's lifetime, but not fully outfitted in the Navy until the Ticonderoga class was rolled-out.
