Just tangential to the topic, how many retired/inactive/ready reserve service members who are doctors and nurses do you suppose are not already actively employed in battling the pandemic?

SFC William Farrell
LTC (Join to see) - The email did go on to say that they did not want to tae you away form your primary responsibility. My sister is a retired nurse in Vermont but kept her license in NY State. They contacted her and asked if she would be willing to serve. She would if they'd give her housing temporarily.

I don't know exactly all that might be called on but it seems Medical People including some that were even retired perhaps even in their post service civilian occupations and no longer in uniform could be allowed to return during this period of crisis. One concern though is leaving the civilian needs short in areas some of those people may be drawn from.

From what I've personally seen, the army is being very sensitive to not mobilizing people that are 'in the fight' in their civilian role.
