SGT (Join to see) I have heard it said that: people don’t quit jobs, they quit their supervision.

I would agree for the most part. I retired after a little over 20 years with the Bureau of Prisons. I had some good supervisors, some bad, and some horrible. It always seemed the bad or awful ones always got selected for positions of higher responsibilities, and the good folks languished.

You are correct. During my private industry career, if I didn’t push someone out or they left for a promotion, t accepted it as a personal failure.
