I don't buy the "having a bad day" as an excuse for trolling. If the day is really running in "FAIL" territory, log off the computer and go do something more constructive. Like give thanks for the fact you actually HAVE a computer.

Very interesting analysis and study. I often wondered why people behave the way they do and make unhelpful, derogatory comments. It is perhaps empowering for those who are without control in their personal lives. The civility of human interaction is often lost in written texts, blogs, emails and posts by others. We can all learn from this. Good post.
