1LT Sandy Annala - No my question is who cares... People should just be. She was a security professional who did her job. I could care less what her personal life is. You never here "he was a straight man" or whatever unless it is negative. But people have their right to support or not support anything. But it should not be forced on us when so many don't agree with it.

SSG Pete Fleming - I agree people should just be who they are and execute their mission with loyalty and precision. I don't see the point of "be forced on us when we don't ageee with it" - when national security personnel are just doing their jobs. What do you believe is being forced on you - paying LGBT the same salaries paid to straight men for doing the same job? I don't see where anyone is being forced in military or civil life. 1LT Sandy Annala - Everybody who does the same job at the same skill level deserve the same pay and benefits. NONE of the rest of it matters, not their race, not their religion, and not their sexual preference. However the whole acceptance of homosexuality is being forced on people who don't agree with it. I am not saying anyone group should be harassed or otherwise mistreated. But if a person feels a certain behavior is wrong than they have the right to feel that way and no one should force them to believe otherwise. But the acceptance of the homosexual lifestyle and culture is being forced onto American society. And millions upon millions of Americans don't agree or like that. This story takes away from her heroic act because we are focusing on who she sleeps with and not the fact she did her job heroically.

SPC Jeff Daley, PhD - You are a good man. This kind of deeply insightful introspection about life is what separates the best of men from others with more difficulties. Sandy :)

1LT Sandy Annala - I had seen something earlier how Turkey had tons of LGBTQ refugees from the Arab and Persian world. Iran's former President, can't recall Ajmdenijad? said there are no homosexuals in Iran either...in my opinion because his security and vice services killed them or scared them out of the country. I think once the Kurds are wiped out, Edrogan will go after the LGBTQ community.

I would only add that she did exactly what law enforcement officers do each and every day, despite the left characterizing them as racists and every other epithet available to them. Her actions were heroic and sexual preference had nothing to do with anything. They are always willing to take a bullet, if necessary to protect us all. Those that are not usually find a new line of work.

LTC Jeff Shearer MCPO Roger Collins - I wholeheartedly agree with both of you - it should not matter whether she is straight, lesbian, or a little green bag of protoplasm sprouting two antennae - as long as she is a citizen and she executes her mission with the loyalty and precision we come to expect from our national security personnel. This is why I find myself disappointed when our colleagues say that is all well and good - as long as "we aren't somehow forced to have anything to do with them" in our professional workplace. 1LT Sandy Annala - Much is merely hyperbole. There are many really good reasons to dislike people, that one is not valid. When that is not an issue, we have equality. Not saying I agree with the lifestyle, but I have to wonder what my take would have been if my son/daughter,or two perfect as they are grandsons had outed themselves.
