Not exactly the “Coffee, tea or me” attitude that I first encountered back in the mid-1960s. Pan Am 007s cruising across the pond on overnight flights to and from Europe were wonderful experiences and the stews always took time to chat with me and make me feel comfortable. When all the other passengers were asleep, one would always come to sit beside me and chat about our destination and plans after arrival. When I was single, I sometimes made a date with a stew to take her to dinner at our destination. They were always delightful company, easy conversationalists, and a joy to spend time with. Not to mention, often drop-dead gorgeous!
