Thanks for confirming SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL that World War II pilot Elaine Harmon ashes were laid to rest at a funeral service with military honors on Wednesday at Arlington National Cemetery.

I'm not sure I agree with their burial in Arlington SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. Any veteran is not entitled to be buried in Arlington, you have to have died in service or have retired.

I think it is about time. Yes, I know the rules. But, I think it makes sense.

Why have rules if you make exceptions for every special interest group COL Charles Williams? Its sort of like that soldier who died off the coast of Cali a year or two ago in helicopter crash supporting Marines. He was a reservist or NG member and not eligible for burial but his family and others were pushing for his burial there. I do not recall the outcome of that one.

SFC William Farrell - Roger. Understand. I am going there, I just hope with the special interest groups, there will still be space for me.

COL Charles Williams - Well I hope not anytime soon Colonel. But you have a point! I'd like to go there too but my wife says how can I visit you then if you are in Virginia and I'm in Rhode Island. I am not much for visiting cemeteries unless for historical purposes such as Arlington, old ones, etc.
