I guess my old 113 will now be a target on some range now, if it's not sold to some country. I had a love/hate relationship with those tracks.

You and me both. We were swimming our tracks at Ft. Knox when I was a plt. ldr. in D/10th Cav., 194th Armd. Bde. (Sep.) in the spring of '80. Note my baby-faced 17-year-old driver. . . .

Is the guy on your photo left holding a LAW, and acting like he's going to fire it out of the cargo hatch ?

C Co., 3-1st Inf., 11th LIB, Americal from late July to early Dec. '70, when they made me a combat correspondent/photographer. Sadly, our AO was one of the most heavily inundated with Agent Orange between Aug. and Nov. '70--saddling me with numerous Agent Orange conditions. . . .

So glad I was just a light Infantryman. I'll bet they are a maintenance monster.

LTC Trent Klug I was Mech the whole time I was in, and if I remember right it was 2-8 hours of maintenance for every hour of using our 113's. Believe it or not we did alot of humping, true we didn't have our rucks all the time, but we (in the units I was in) did carry twice the basic load of ammo on us when we were not on the PC's, when I did hump my ruck it wasn't unusual for it to weigh close to 200 pounds, at the time I weighted between 150 & 160. I bought a large (Ranger) ruck. the only time that I rode more than humping was when I was stationed at Irwin, but we did have a couple "light" rotations.

SPC Gary C. Yeah, that's too much maintenance for me. I'll gladly work on weapons and my feet.

LTC Trent Klug - I heard that many times from guys PCSing in from light units, but I'd rather do maintenance on a track than some makework BS.
