This reminds me of the old joke "What do you call a hundred lawyers at the bottom of the Ocean? A good start!"

She was extraordinarily bad. The money she stole from the "charity" (it was not registered as such) was used to fluff her own pillow while the kids she was supposed to be helping remained trapped and without the help and support those giving thought they would get.
She is the consummate conman, she got her due. 18 counts, she is 70 years old, hopefully she gets to live the rest of her years out in a federal penitentiary as an example for others that might have these sort of ideas.

She won't. Age and connections won't allow it. Minimum security if that, a heavy fine, and a bar from politics. What applies to us, does not apply to them.

SSG Warren Swan - I don't know, 18 counts, convicted on all. I can see her at a minimum security federal prison for a few years. She will play up her age and infirmities now to try to get leniency on the sentence, no doubt but she needs to go to jail, even if it is Club Fed Prison.

Cpl Jeff N. - I can agree with you on that, but she has something neither one of us have in any real abundance and that is connections in high places. What we think is high is the janitor at McDonalds to them. Even here in VA, get convicted, take it to SCOTUS, suddenly you're a free man if you were the Governor of the state. Can't blame Trump or Obama for this one. He knows the RIGHT people we'll never meet; just like her.

Cpl Jeff N. Some idiot democrat will surely come along and pardon her. Just take a look at California.

If she lived in California, as a democrat, brown would have certainly pardoned her as well. You don't see any Republicans benefiting from the same charity.
