Little known outside of the Marine Corps, and honestly, not always well known enough in the Corps. Great article! Belleau Woods is also where, according the Marine Corps history, the Germans bestowed the title of "Teufel Hunden", or Devil Dog on the Marines. (Yes, I know, not ALL history reflects this - not the point as all history does attribute the moniker to the actions of the Marines in WW-I.)
