I actually found that Greek Yogurt helps stomach issues I have, where medicine didn't. The problem was that it was fairly expensive to eat 3 cups a day. I found a recipe to make it myself in a slow cooker. All you need to do is Google slow cooker yogurt. Works like a champ!

SN Vivien Roman-Hampton - I started making it in a big stock pot because I make 2 gallons at a time. I also switched out the cheesecloth with a t-shirt. Works the same and is much easier to clean and re-use.

Sounds labor intensive......! Stonyfield makes a nice Organic No fat Greek yogurt that is really good, I wish I had more time to make my own

LT Brad McInnis Thanks for the tip on the t-shirt. I am going to use that instead of the cheesecloth!

Alan K. - I was a huge white rice fan, switched to brown and haven't ever looked back. I found the easiest way to make it was in the microwave: rinse brown rice under water until water runs clear. add to microwave safe bowl with 2.5 times cold water (so 1 cup rice, 2.5 cups water). Cover and microwave for 10 minutes or until the water is boiling. Then take cover off and microwave for an additional 20 minutes. Drain off the excess water, if any, and then put in fridge for a couple of hours. Then I spoon it into ziplocs and put in the freezer until ready to use. Much easier to have them ready to go when looking for something to make...

LT Brad McInnis - I just do it the traditional way.....1 1/2 to 1...water to rice with spices in the water to be absorbed from the cooking process. Then I saute' veggies in EVOO and wine and more spices (no salt, my new best girl Mrs. Dash) throw some chicken in and spoon over the rice.......two forks! My new bacon double cheeseburger is Raw Carrots and homemade Garlic Hummus.
