This should be of GREAT concern to all nations. The Taliban and ISIS as a whole believe in the 7 Pillars of Islam, not the 5.
In that belief is a deep disdain for those who do not believe in Allah unto the point of forcefully making those swear their faith an allegiance to Allah, enslave those who don’t, or in many cases to execute those who don’t.
They will gladly give their lives for their faith, and they KNOW their faith.
The 7 Pillars of Islam have the original 5 Pillars, and the edition of 2 other Pillars which were entrusted to Muhammad, those of the “Jizya” (a tax on non-Muslims) and “Jihad” (the struggle or fight against the enemies of Islam).
Typically, these are referred to “Muslim Extremists”, which by shear definition, they are simply Muslim in that they are practicing Islam as the prophet Muhammad had practiced Islam, as he received the messages from Gabriel.
That being said, I see something in our Nation that scares me; true allegiance and care for our Country in our youth. We don’t enjoy the spirit of patriotism as when we were young.
When you put a group of people who do not necessarily believe completely in their cause against a force that not only is so completely bought into their cause because from the day of their birth they are immersed in it, and who see real war and death all day; but now also have solid TACOPS and training (with instructors who can literally beat you into submission, you have what I call a possible tie-breaker.
I hope this has not offended anyone. I’ve done my best to make my point without stepping on toes, but it is impossible for me to bring up this opinion without also mentioning the Islamic faith.
It is important to make the factual point that not all Islamists believe in this “radical Islam.” They hold to the original 5 Pillars of Islam which they believe preaches peace. Contrary to what I used to believe and what some still believe; the Muslim faith is no more dangerous today than our Christian Ancestors who took the word of God and twisted a few verses to burn witches and conquer nations.
We all have our horrible pasts, and the fault is always that of man and our desire to justify what we do instead of doing what is just.
If the words “Islam”, Muslim”, “Muhammad”, “Allah”, or any words which make you think about the Islamic fate, make you feel hate, anger or vengeance as a Christian, I beg you to go back to the scripture and look at the life of Christ and realize that those very feelings toward anyone is not how Christ expects us feel.
Now, my conscience is clear, LOL. I did a great deal of personal study on Islam instead of trying to watch either agencies wanting to make it all look great and safe and those that desire to make you believe Muslims are evil. I studied because I believed that to fight your enemy, you must know your enemy. So a few weeks before my deployment, I started studying. Bought several books, and bought the most accurate English translation Quran that I could find.i wanted knowledge.
They are men following their beliefs, and for my Christian friends (who are going to hate this), you are no better or worse than them. In their eyes, we are simply men following our beliefs. In their minds they are right, and in our minds we are right (for the record, i know I’m right, LOL.).
Here is the difference for Christians that should forever make you feel and act differently towards not only Muslims, but any other faith, race, nationality, gender, color, etc. etc.:
“John 3:16 KJVS
[16] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Understand that the sacrifice of Christ is non-discriminatory. So regardless on how you justify your feelings, until the day they die, they are exactly as you are: simply a sinner in need of salvation. This is how God sees us.
All that being said and to get back on track: it should be absolutely disturbing for us to think of how dangerous they can be when they not only train be better warriors, but now also how to be organized in their tactics. Key note is that many have been trained by our soldiers under the guise of Pakistani military, and then have left, taking this knowledge back to the Taliban.
If I had to guess at how they became organized and develop these training programs, my immediate answer is that we trained them.
I simply pray that we trained the Pakistani soldiers better.
I want to close with this General George S. Patton (Original quote recorded from General Patton by LT. General James M. Gavin after an address to the troops):
“No dumb bastard ever won a war by going out and dying for his country. He won it by making some other dumb bastard die for his country.”

GySgt John Olson, LOL. Those who know me on here aren’t thinking of me as a heretic. They know where my heart is.
However, I will proudly proclaim the title of court jester!

Many successful revolutions two components, amongst others, to wage a guerilla warfare and building the fighting arm to a peer sized military.
