Abortion procedures, transgender surgeries and LGBTQ Pride flags would all be banned at Veterans Affairs medical centers under a budget bill adopted by House Republicans on Tuesday.
The spending plan — which advanced on a party-line vote out of the House Appropriations Committee — also calls for a record $320 billion in veterans program spending next fiscal year, matching the White House’s funding request released earlier this year.

Abortion procedures, transgender surgeries and LGBTQ Pride flags would all be banned at Veterans Affairs medical centers under a budget bill adopted by House Republicans on Tuesday.
The spending plan — which advanced on a party-line vote out of the House Appropriations Committee — also calls for a record $320 billion in veterans program spending next fiscal year, matching the White House’s funding request released earlier this year.

The military is apolitical and so should the VA be. Ya we al suffer for 4 to 8 years when political appointees are in charge but those decisions shouldn't become lasting policy.

I agree with you 100% however I cannot see how a pregnancy that happens after military service is in anyway service connected and fixing it (an abortion) is certainly not service connected. Transgender I have no issues providing that care to such a small subset as long as we already have that specialist on. I guarantee we already endocrine, speech therapy, ENT, and likely some plastics folks. Bottom surgery should never be done at the VA as keeping someone like that on staff and current would be through the top expensive.

In my opinion, these elective surgeries should not be considered by the VA!!! Before you know it non-veterans and illegal aliens will be offered those surgeries and Veterans will be at the bottom of the VA hiérarchie for healthcare... Just saying...
