It is sad to see a family dispute go to court, but she chose to post public Facebook photos despite other family members wanting privacy

I currently live in the Netherlands and this is not out of the norm. GDPR is a very strong privacy law, although occasionally it has flaws, there are several US sites I cannot reach as they are not in line with GDPR, including post newsletters. I have discovered often the lack of following regulations lies with the owner of the platform the website uses, certain types of tracking cookies are no longer allowed, as they retain and keep data that violates the law. If both parties are Dutch I’m surprised any lawyer was willing to represent grandma.
