I'm actually pretty impressed with some of the Republicans putting country above party. A rare occurance these days on the left or the right.

It was their best move to pull it back. It needs a lot of work before it gets into an acceptable form (I suspect it will look much like the ACA by the time they get done with it). As it was......they couldn't get enough lipstick on that pig to fool anyone.

agree,

I have friends who use the current system and who love it and others who hate the current system, but either come up with something that is better and not half ass or leave it alone.

Great news! My personal preference is that the GOP members of Congress continue to be stuck in the mud while Obamacare dies its own pitiful death. Sadly, the Left won't take the lesson and will claim that the GOP "done it in" in some way. So, I guess the only rational course is to put a gun to the ACA and put us out of our misery. Obviously, temporizing plans such as the one that Ryan and Company are attempting to foister on us will allow the Left to blame the GOP for killing Obamacare (horrors!) and setting up something worse.

Wasn't that the mission of the GOP from the beginning? The GOP can't spend 7 years trying to kill Obamacare and think they shouldn't get the blame for not doing something they promised to do
