Heated exchanges and a flood of suggestions for the Confederate renaming commission

I honestly could careless but I’ve always thought to myself why are we naming anything military after someone for losing?

I think that to rename them now, rewards the criminal behavior of the looters rioters and criminals that took over the streets of the major cities of this country and used George Floyd as an excuse to loot and burn and steal.

I don’t like the idea of changing the names of military bases at all. We would lose the heritage of those places and slander those who came before us. We should honor our history and preserve it for future generations.
