Senior Chief Cryptologic Technician Networks Cecilia S. Medina, a native of Lovington, New Mexico, joined the Navy in June 2006 where she attended basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois. Upon graduation, Senior Chief Medina reported to Lemoore, California for Aviation Machinist Mate “A” school followed by TURBOJET strand and F414 3RD DEGREE “C” school.
In December 2006, Senior Chief Medina reported to her first assignment onboard the USS KITTY HAWK (CV 63) in Yokosuka, Japan where she conducted daily maintenance and repairs of F404-GE-400/402 and F414-GE-400 engines in direct support of Carrier Air Wing Five. She transferred in June 2007 to Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron 10 (HS-10) in San Diego, California where she served as a Safety Assistant tracking key safety programs.
