Former Gun Dealer here.
"Nothing sells guns like Democrats running for office"
When the Party (et al) has a stated goal of defining the 2a as a "collective Right" as opposed to an "Individual Right" and has a history of attempting to ban classes of weapons based on "cosmetic appearance" as opposed to actual "violence statistics" it's easy to understand why the President might be called Anti-gun.
Just because someone doesn't sign a bill into Law doesn't change their stance. The President doesn't control the legislative process therefore it's really a matter of which laws he did sign or veto as opposed to which ones never made it to his desk.
The article shows two instances of expanded Gun Rights, but doesn't say what Law they were actually signed under. Sometimes these riders have to be included to get the Bill before the President at all.
However, outside of Legislation, he has "demonized" firearms and his words speak louder than his actions (since he lacks control of the process).

Sgt Aaron Kennedy, MS
SFC Thomas Butler - Selling guns to the government isn't affected by "the whim of the people" and the free market like "fear based sales." Including that profit is disingenuous as it inflates the numbers to make them appear far larger.

Sgt Aaron Kennedy, MS - But to say that "No one gets rich selling guns" is also disingenuous. As illustrated by just those companies making billions just last year.

SFC Thomas Butler - "getting rich" and making a "profit" are two different things. I know the owners of a couple of the manufacturers you mentioned, and "rich" is relative. Most aren't "rich." The others are corporate entities, and they make profit for their shareholders, but when you spreadload profit across multiple owners "rich" is diluted.

Sgt Aaron Kennedy, MS - Really?!?!? So NO ONE is getting rich from the guns sold by FN, SIG or S&W? That's the basis of your argument? And a profit margin in the billions is making someone, or many people, rich.

Yup, every time a D says "Gun control" my local store runs out of ammunition. I haven't been able to buy a brick of .22 in almost 8 years. That's all well and good, but there's a lot of brand new untrained shooters out there now. #GreatJobGuys #OppositeEffect

Capt Seid Waddell
SPC David Hannaman, I read that the ammo factories are running three shifts and cannot keep up with demand.

Capt Seid Waddell - I've heard that too, I can't confirm, I'm also heard "conspiracy theories" that Dept. Homeland Security is buying it all up and stockpiling it... again, just hearsay.
All I can confirm is that in 8 years ammo has gotten expensive and hard to get. For a few years there you had to get in line on Thursday Morning to get .22 at Academy... last time I went they limited sales to 100 rounds per customer... still.

Capt Seid Waddell
SPC David Hannaman,
“Take for example .22LR ammunition. The industry as a whole (all manufacturers combined) is setup to produce 4,200,000,000 (4.2 Billions) .22 LR annually. That is running all the machines, full capacity all the time, all manufacturers together.
There is NOTHING they can do to produce more.
That corresponds to 230,137 cartridge per State per day, which is 460 bricks of 500 .22lr per day per State. That means that if less than 50 people per day in each State are buying 10 bricks of .22, it is enough to dry up the entire supply as it is being manufactured.”
