Before Bud Light and Target, there was Disney.
And not just the Disney of today, which has become a target of the current Florida governor in the culture wars, but of 1995.
That year, Disney launched domestic-partner benefits. Fifteen Florida state lawmakers condemned the policy as "anti-family."
"We strongly disapprove of your inclusion and endorsement of a lifestyle that is unhealthy, unnatural and unworthy of special treatment," they wrote in a letter to the company. The Southern Baptist leadership and the Assemblies of God urged their millions of members to boycott Disney.
Disney didn't back down. Instead, the rest of the world caught up with it, as more companies expanded equal rights for LGBTQ workers. In the last 10 years or so, some corporations have gone further, advocating for marriage equality and publicly pushing for anti-discrimination laws.

Companies need to realize that they are selling a product, not a lifestyle. Marketing people need to realize that they are endorsing a product, and not try to be influencers. Sales people need to sell THEIR product and not global phenomenon.
People will vote with their wallets when faced with views that are not mainstream, no matter how much the corporate boardrooms want to think they have a say in what is mainstream.
Bud Light has learned the hard way to not mess with their consumer base. We made them the #1 beer in America, and then they went woke. Showing again that we, the majority of their consumers, CAN control their profits and what gets sold. The law of supply and demand of capitalism works. The same goes for Disney and Target. Both have lost Billions in revenue and stock value because they tried to push a fringe topic onto the masses and it backfired. They need to shut up and sell stuff.

SGT (Join to see) - Nobody is attacking any veterans in this thread. The majority is just getting tired of being attacked by those who are trying to impose their oddity on them. Attempts at normalizing a mental or biological disorder that less than 1% of the population will fail. Creating a protected class who's only claim is wanting to be one of 1000+ genders, pisses people off. Telling people to follow the science on covid, and then creating new science to validate their mental illness and telling normies that this is the valid, true science pisses people off.
I wouldn't leave anyone behind, but I won't be told how to behave in a progressive created circumstance that has no basis in reality. No basis in scientific fact, but lots of basis in psychiatric psychoses for longer than the last 15 minutes that the "new" science has been out.

Our condition is genetic. A recent study of a rather large number of Trans Women with an equal sized control group of cis-gender males pointed out that at least 12 genes are involved in our development. Personally I've been studying the 11,17 and 19 genes. The cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes is damn interesting.
BTW we have been around as long as the Human Race.

I wonder if this is also hurting recruitment since most people are straight. I don't think the average male or female wants to learn about an Army commercial talking about a lesbian woman with two moms and how diversity and how cute it is. No, men don't want to see that either. Putting gender identity politics in recruitment commercials is really stupid. The drag petty officer is not helping the US Navy in recruiting either. Maybe that's why the Navy wants to get rid of 24 ships and put them in mothballs because they can't get the people to man them because of stupid lgbtq virtue signaling Navy Recruiting an Army Recruiting is just pissing off the majority like it already is. Maybe the US military should go back and have recruitment videos that are exciting and not focusing on the Twilight Zone virtue signaling of a fringe minority of the US public. Let's focus on duty, honor and Country!

I really thought that Top Gun would work as a recruiting movie the way the first one did. I know all the liberal talking heads were exploding over it's patriotic theme, saying it wasn't worthy of Best Picture because it went against their narrative.
Recruitment is down because of the DEI policies across the board. The low pay doesn't make a great impression either.
Join the military and go on food stamps if you have a family, just doesn't convince a lot of people that it's a good path.

PO3 Shayne Seibert it didn't help that many left because they didn't want to get the covid-19 vaccine. The government reverse itself but by then many tens of thousands that already left the service or were forced out.
I refuse to have my vaccination but I retired before I was kicked out. My covid exposure was minor I was sick for a few days and the second time that my wife got it, I didn't get it.

LTC (Join to see) - I really doubt that many will go back. They have now realized just how corrupt the system is and how much of a social experiment the military has become. They have become the experiment instead of the control group. I wouldn't even consider serving right now with all the nonsense that is going on, and it hurts me to say that.

Being forced to take the covid-19 vaccine or being kicked out and not let back in or people don't want to come back in because they were forced out and they were humiliated and lost trust in the US government military system.
