There's another calculation We the People must make: Can we afford to absorb all those coming across our borders? Some believe we must. We must reelect Biden because of their hysterical fear of another Trump Administration. Obviously, their fear is hysterical. It has no foundation in fact. Yes you need every single one of them because of the number of Boomers retiring every year. It's expected that 4.1 million boomers will retire every year from 2024-2027 and the last of the Boomers will reach retirement age in 2030. That will be 75 million boomers age 65 and over.
with 75 million retired individuals just think of the implications.
Now just think what 75 million retired people will do to consumer spending.
Think what 75 million retired people will do to the job market.
Think about that number of people drawing Social Security.
Immigrants are 80% more likely to start a business than native born Americans.

As I have pointed out over and over again which is supported by facts our economy needs everyone of these individuals. If they are not here then who works the farms, the meat packing plants, construction, the hospitality sector and the medical sector just to name a few economic sectors.
Cpt. Durish you and others are just going to have to accept the fact that this country needs everyone of these people especially if you wish to live the lifestyle you have now. Your discomfort over their skin color, language,religon or any other stupid characteristic needs to be put aside.
The US has the 3rd oldest population in the world and such an aging population stymies growth.

No questions or arguments here. Immigrants are needed. However, we don't need the diseases and undesirables entering illegally. Think back to all the ages of immigration. Most of us are the children of immigrants who came through Ellis Island and other ports of legal entry. These are the people we need.

If you are really worried about diseases then you need to stop all international traffic by all means into the US. After all it was international travail that brought us COVID.

Thank you Brother Jack, If we cannot balance the budget and support those already here legally then how can we help others? At what point does it stop? More money to Ukraine but, Americans are struggling. How this that right? Yes, we should help but there is no logic about it, to me money shipped overseas is just money laundering coming back to our corrupt politicians for the most part. My two cents worth.
