How Will The Pentagon’s New Transgender Policy Work?

This really a good story about two Transgender people who are married, and the husband was born a female and the wife was born a male. This article gives the numbers of transgenders serving in reserves and active duty. Compared to the total amount serving active duty and reserves, it's a small number, I don't think anyone should be concerned about. But, that's my opinion and may not reflect yours. The military’s transgender ban has been lifted, but the implementation policy still needs to be developed.
After a year of deliberation, the Defense Department made the controversial decision to lift the ban on transgender service members on June 30. The decision follows a number of inclusionary practices adopted by the military over the last few years — including the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” and the move to allow women to serve in all combat positions.
